The Dress of Dreams

There have been many times in the past where i've rummaged through my wardrobe only to be left with deep disappointment. The dreaded thoughts of, "Nothing fits me anymore", "This makes me look fat", "My clothes are so boring".. But thankfully I have found a dress that makes me feel like a bohemian goddess! I recently purchased it from the lovely ladies over at Recession Rags Vintage and it fits like a dream. The busy print hides all my lumps and bumps, the soft orange and lemon colours warm up my skin tone and the huge sleeves make me feel like I have wings!

I teamed the dress with a fur stole, minimal jewellery and my favourite 1960's GoGo Boots.

What do you guys think?

Sunshine and Lollipops and Pretty Green Pastels

You know it's Spring-time when you're digging out your pastel wardrobe, only wearing two layers of clothing instead of about five and scrambling to find the only pair of sunglasses you didn't manage to break last Summer...
With what seemed like a rare day off from singing, the boy and I decided to head down to the Bees Mouth Pub for their Monday Jazz Jam. Even though it seems like the smallest pub in Brighton, The Bee's Mouth is a real gem for music lovers. It's known for its quirky decor and incense burning and great live music from local Jazzers.
Now Summer still feels quite far away so I decided to opt for a thin striped turtle neck, High waisted Joni Jeans and a statement Vintage Summer Coat teamed with my new Jean Pierre 60's Gogo Boots. and here you have it..

ASOS Wish List - That Seventies Show

As the days go by I am becoming more and more obsessed with the Seventies. I just love everything about it! From crazy psychedelic prints, to bohemian florals, and of course huge statement flares. I'm kicking out the sequins and the shoulder pads from my wardrobe and bringing in the suede, fringe and crochet and what better place to revamp my closet with the ASOS 'That Seventies Show' Collection. Here are my favourite pieces that i'm definitely going to be saving for...

I just love how every piece of this collection is so versatile so you can mix and match with your current wardrobe, they're perfect for festival season and also great for layering up for the winter.

You can shop the collection here now

Which is your favourite piece from this collection?

Back from a Long Break! + New Garms from Beyond Retro!

Hello my Lovelies!

It feels like forever since I've posted on my blog and I've definitely been having withdrawals from it! But I'm back now and have lots of big plans for 2015.
These last few months I've been suffering from writers block and it's so difficult to keep the creativity flowing when you have no inspiration for what you're trying to write about and when there are so many other amazing bloggers out there, it can be very daunting!
So I took a few months out to really think about what direction I wanted to take and now I feel much more clear headed and ready to get back into the swing of things!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went on a lovely stroll along the seafront and watched the sunset.. I know the kind of romance that makes you want to Vom a little! I thought it would be rude not to take a photo of my outfit as i'm debuting my amazing new suede coat!

Beyond Retro has been my favourite Vintage Store in the South since I first ventured upon the Brighton store back in 2008. I still stand by that statement today because the possibilities of finding incredible one off pieces are endless! I have been searching for a coat like this for over seven years now and ever since I watched "Almost Famous" and clapped eyes on the amazing Penny Lane I have been constantly stalking eBay, Charity shops, Vintage stores to find one. I teamed it with a huge Floppy Hat, Psychedelic Print dress and to give the outfit more of a day look I added some simple Black Trainers.

I'm so glad to be back on the blogging scene, it's been far too long. I'm also thinking about doing a 2015 Haul Video of all my amazing Vintage and second hand purchases and i'll be writing up a post on Vintage Treasure Hunting, what to look for when buying and how to find the hidden gems amongst the tat!

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine!
