March Favourites - Hair Care

I cannot believe it's almost April already.. Where does the time go?!
The sun is shining in Brighton, the shades are on and it looks like everybody's getting excited for Summer, I've seen people in shorts and crop tops already.. Eager beavers! I'm currently planning my S/S'14 wardrobe, but I shall leave that for another post ;)
This month i've put together my favourite hair products I've been using!
First up is the Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil. Now i've seen bloggers raving about this product so I wanted to try it for myself and they are right it is amazing!

There are three bottles to choose from. One for all hair types, fine hair and coloured hair, so because my hair is fine and coloured I went for all hair types. It comes in a really nice glass packaging which makes it look very posh and expensive, but it's only around £9.99 in Boots, which I think is a bargain! It will literally last you a year.. You only need a pea-sized amount in your hand, which you rub together to warm up the product, pop it on the lengths and tips of your hair, avoiding the roots and you're all good to go!
If you have hair like mine that's prone to getting quite greasy quickly, I would recommend using it just after you've washed your hair, whilst your hairs still damp. This way it won't weigh your hair down or give you that oily feeling and it will leave your hair smelling gorgeous!
My hair isn't in the best condition from dying it so much since I was 12 years old. I rarely went to the hairdressers and because i've never really liked my hair, because it's flat, dull and snapping off at the ends, I was ready to give up.. But i've been using this product for a few months now and my hair has never felt so soft, shiny and is starting to feel like hair again.. definitely give it a try ;)

Next up is the Loreal Paris Hair Experts "Sulphate Free" Shampoo and Conditioner in the EverStrong Reinforcing and Vitality range. This stuff is AMAZING!

What sold this product for me is it's Sulphate Free. Sulphate is an ingredient normally found in most personal hygiene products. It can strip your scalp of its natural oils, damage your hair particles and often leaves your hair feeling dry and brittle. My lovely friend Abi recommended this to me, as my hair is so damaged from constant bleaching, I just had to give it a try! I wash my hair every other day with it and only use a tiny amount out of each container as it's so dense. I always brush the conditioner through my hair with a wide-toothed comb and leave it on for 10 minutes. I have been using this product for about two months now and I literally cannot stop touching my hair.. It is so soft and silky! Plus if you're the only person using it, these bottles will last you months. The smell is to die for too, it's got a lovely minty fresh smell. They retail in most supermarkets at £6.99 each, which a good deal for what you get. Check out the other ranges too by clicking the link below :)

Give it a try!..if you use these two products for as long as I have, regardless of the condition of your hair, i'm pretty certain it will leave your hair feeling so soft and so shiny!

The comfiest heels I own! New Look Colour-contrast Heels

These little beauty's are literally the comfiest heels I've ever bought. They certainly don't look it, but for £8.99 in a thrift store (never worn) I had to try them out! Now if you're like me and you are not the most graceful of girls walking in stilletoes these are perfect! They have a lovely thin ankle strap for extra support and the closed toe stops your feet from sliding down. Plus I love the contrasting pop of colour on the toe to give your outfit more of an edge! I wore them to a Jazz night at the Brunswick in Brighton and I had not a blister or sore in sight! The only thing I will say about these New Look shoes is that I have worn them once and the heel is already hanging off, I find this a lot with their shoes. So I would recommend getting them re-heeled straight away to avoid damaging the heel and injuring yourself!

Maxfactor Madness!

On my shopping travels in Brighton today, I popped into Boots. I'd just ran out of my Clarins Everlasting Foundation in shade nude :( It's the week before payday so I was looking for something cheaper, but still has great coverage and gives me that matt finish I long for. I went over to the Maxfactor counter and picked up the Face Infinity 3 in 1 All-day-flawless Foundation.
What drew me to pick up this particular product is that it's a primer, concealer and foundation in one. It has a really thin consistency, but it still has great coverage, so you don't feel caked in makeup and still look flawless. I had to go a shade darker, I'm normally the palest of pale, but I had to buy a Warm Almond. It cost me £11.99 and comes in a chunky bottle, so it should last me a couple of months.
I was so excited to learn that they were having an offer. If you spend £15 or more you get this cute gift set, so I bought myself a lipstick in shade Rose Wood. The gift set includes a lipgloss, false lash effect mascara and a  lovely nail polish in a summery pink. It's only for a limited time so get yourselves down!

6 ways to wear a Mac coat

Today I picked up a little bargain. This little beauty is a beige mac coat from Rare London. I spotted it in a charity shop on North Street in Brighton and it was only £12.99! It is a must-have staple piece in ones wardrobe and it literally goes with everything.. I mean everything! Not all of us can afford a real Burberry Mac, so here's the next best thing. Here are my 6 fave ways to wear it :)

New Asos dress arrived today!

So excited to arrive home to a lovely parcel from ASOS!
It's the High Neck Skater Dress from ASOS own brand and it was in the outlet for £12.50.. Bargain :)
I was a bit disappointed as the colour looked extremely white on the website, but I realised it clearly stated Grey on the colour chart.. doh! Never mind, I'll still get use out of it. I thought I would team it with my silver flat forms and metallic black socks. Annoyingly I have no silver accessories, so it does look a bit bare at the moment. What do you think?
